Volunteer Coordinator

The Kenneth City Police Department has incorporated a volunteer partnership with civic-minded citizens who have donated their time to improve the quality of life in their community. Police volunteers are deployed in two roles: Administrative and Operational.

Administrative volunteers assist with tasks such as filing, copying, supply distribution, shredding, training of other volunteers, and they work in a variety of office type settings. This section includes our Communications Volunteer who works with our staff developing a stronger branding position on internal and external docu-ments and forms. The Communications Volunteer also provides support on social media and PSAs and helps track our department’s history.

Operations volunteers provide assistance with the receiving and delivering of goods which support the law en-forcement mission. They operate Town vehicles while assisting the public, checking for safety hazards, report-ing suspicious vehicles, persons, or road obstructions, and work at special events, schools, or directing traffic. The role of our volunteer Chaplain is to provide emotional and spiritual support to our personnel and residents and to set a strong example on how to lead one’s life according to our values while safeguarding others.

In 2018 our Volunteers donated over 1420 hours.
