Kenneth City Selects New Town Manager

Pete Cavalli, MPA hired as Town’s Second Town Manager

KENNETH CITY, FL, AUGUST 15 - Town of Kenneth City approved an employment contract for Pete Cavalli to serve as Kenneth City’s new Town Manager during the August 11 Council Meeting.  Mr. Cavalli’s tenure with the Town begins on August 23, 2021. He will be just the second Town Manager since the municipality became a council-manager form of government in 2013. "The Town is very excited to bring Mr. Cavalli aboard as our new Town Manager" said Mayor Robert Howell, "He brings the enthusiasm we need and a passion for local government. With our great new police chief Eli Vazquez and now a new town manager, the future is looking bright for Kenneth City."

Mr. Cavalli comes to Kenneth City with more than 20 years of local government experience and most recently served as an instructor for Pinellas Technical College. He earned his Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of South Florida in 2006. Mr. Cavalli has previous local government experience in Pinellas County, having worked for the cities of Belleair Beach and St. Pete Beach. He also was introduced to the world of public administration as an intern in the late 1990’s for the City of New Port Richey and Pasco County.

Mr. Cavalli fills the position left vacant by previous Town Manager Matthew Campbell who resigned in April 2021 to pursue new opportunities. Previous Zephyrhills City Manager Dr. Steven Spina, who is a Senior Consultant for Imagine That Performance, has been the Interim Town Manager since June 11 and will continue in that role until Mr. Cavalli’s begins his term beginning August 23rd. Prior to Dr. Spina, Lynne Ladner’s served as the Interim Manager from April 26 until June 11.
