Police Records

The Records section releases, scans, redacts, and copies criminal, civil, and traffic related documents such as po-lice reports and court related paperwork while maintaining and updating personnel files and ATMS certification for all sworn staff.

The Records section receives walk in requests for service in addition to the email, telephone calls that come directly to the department. The Records section also manages the court liaison unit, which interfaces with the State’s criminal justice system. The section receives and processes numerous subpoenas for depositions, hearing and trials on behalf of the Town.

The Records section tracks the budget allocated to the Department, processes requisitions, purchase orders and invoices, and coordinates IT services for laptop and desktop computers. Section staff serve as the point of contact for DAVID and Odyssey, as well as the Agency’s FAC (FCIC Agency Coordinator), FDLE NexTEST adminis-trator, CJIS Online Security Awareness Training Administrator, the FALCON Application Access Administrator and the CJIS Agency Coordinator (CAC) and Local Agency Security Officer (LASO). Section staff also prepare and are responsible for on-site audits, which are conducted by the FDLE and the FLHSMV.
